You can easily start your application process by visiting our website and apply online. To complete your application, you will need to fill out a form, upload your academic credentials and other necessary documents, and make the required application fee payment. Depending on the program you choose, you may also be asked to undergo an entrance exam or an interview. Simply click on " Admission" and then proceed to the "Apply Online" section to get started.

Admission requirements

The admission requirements vary depending on the program you choose. However, some general requirements include: 

• As per the minimum university entrance exam result set by the Ministry of Education (Locals)
• For international applicants, high school completion with four years of Mathematics and Physics education is required for Engineering programs. For other programs, high school completion with English proficiency is necessary.
• Entrance exams delivered by Ethiopian Aviation University.
• Candidates should demonstrate a passion for aviation and a commitment to excellence.

EAU provides student residency visas for international students. An EAU representative will send an invitation letter after admission requirements are met and will facilitate visa on arrival with a valid passport copy. The process takes at least 10 working days. To process, EAU sales representatives will provide a letter, a Police Clearance Certificate, and a Personal History Form. Tuition fees vary based on your chosen program. For degree programs, the cost is USD 165 per credit hour for international students, USD 95 per credit hour for the Engineering program, and USD 85 per credit hour for the Bachelor’s in Aviation Management and Operations (BAM) and the BA in Tourism and Hospitality Management for Ethiopian nationals. Additionally, you may need to cover expenses such as books, supplies, accommodation, transportation, insurance, and application fees, which amount to 400 ETB for Ethiopian students and 50 USD for international students.

EAU provides shared dormitories (accommodating two trainees in each room) along with a wide array of amenities. The dormitories are conveniently located within the university campus, just a short walk from the academic and administrative buildings.

• There are two semesters in each EAU Academic Year for undergraduate and post-graduate programs.
• The standard duration of each semester is 16 weeks.
• EAU’s postgraduate program schedule is fixed, with one module every two months. The minimum time to finish is 24 months.
